Today, Albany Library welcomes a long-time library employee and manager, Brian Edwards. He will be our new Circulation Supervisor.
Library Manager, Deb Sica writes:
Brian comes to us with an AA in Liberal Arts from Ohlone, a BA in Studio Arts/Painting from CSU, East Bay and an MPA in Management/Policy Analysis from CSU, East Bay as part of the County Cohort.
Brian has worked for the Alameda County Library since 1999. He started as a Page at FRM and promoted to a Clerk. He went full-time as a Clerk in DUB in 2005. There, he was promoted to Lead Clerk and worked as Acting Circulation Supervisor. In 2009, Brian was hired as Circulation Supervisor at NWK and has been acting Branch Manager from 2010-2014. He understands the library from various perspectives and has strong leadership qualities. He is tech savvy and promotes professional development and innovative programming.
