According to the Journal of Clinical Psychology, 40 to 45% of Amercans make one or more resolutions each year, and 46% of the resolvers kept their resolutions six months later. With a 20% success rate, it seems worthwhile to make those resolutions.
Some of the top ten New Year’s Resolutions include: Save money; Develop a healthy habit; Develop a new skill; Spend more time with family and friends; and Play more.
May I suggest that adding a resolution to Use the public library covers many of the top ten resolutions and adds the additional good resolution of Saving the environment (less paper, more sharing of resources, etc.)
There is also the resolution to Read more . Make this the year that you join one of the Library’s book groups, or just come in and chat about what you like to read.
Check out the Albany Library’s calendar at www.aclibrary.org – Branch – Albany- Library Events and resolve to come to the Library in January.
