Free College Planning Workshop for Teens and Parents

Jay Trombler, of FreeCollegePlanning.org, presented a workshop for teens and their parents last Wednesday night. He will be returning for another session on Saturday, August 25, at 1:30 pm. The presentation stressed the importance of asking hard questions, looking at all types of colleges, and having a clear picture of family finances before the search begins. One point he repeated was that schools are very conscious of you and your child’s emotional stake in the college choice and how easy it is to exploit that trust and hope. This program may help develop teens and parents develop a more critical attitude and result in a more fulfilling experience–down the road.
