The Albany Education Foundation celebrated the start of the new school year by awarding grants to new teachers. The grants allow educators to buy supplies for their classrooms or programs.
Albany Education Foundation is a non-profit that financially supports all kinds of school programs, including field trips–those enrichment adventures that kids remember for a lifetime!
Retired teachers form a strong backbone of the AEF and are happy to show appreciation to incoming teachers.
The reception was held in the meeting room at Albany Library. Ronnie Davis, library manager, welcomed the teachers and offered the support of her staff and the library’s great collection. Many of the new teachers, principals and administrators gathered in the room may have recognized their students in the library that day.
